You will be responsible for supporting the training and career development of research staff and students across the ICR, with a particular emphasis on supporting Informaticians, including the organisation of their annual conference and other training events. You will also support the preparation and presentation of data for Athena SWAN reaccreditation. You will assist in ensuring that the ICR continues to meet the best practice standards for researcher training and career development – focusing on the Researcher Concordat and the Researcher Development Framework.

You will require experience of working as a researcher in academia or industry or of working closely with scientific researchers. Proven ability to manage and deliver projects is essential as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to network effectively across the ICR and beyond. Strong IT skills (particularly Excel and Powerpoint) and experience of presenting to groups are also required.

This position is available on a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months dependent on when the postholder returns from maternity leave.
