Junior Finance Business Partner - Career Opportunity

Due to a period of significant growth, we have an exciting new vacancy for a Junior Finance Business Partner. This role will be based in our vibrant Manchester office and we require an enthusiastic individual to become an integral member of our Finance department.

Overall purpose

This role is suited to a part qualified accountant who enjoys preparing, developing and analysing key financial information, but in the context of being part of a fast growing acquisitive listed company, where information to support strategic decision making is vital. It is an ideal role for someone who wants to develop their career further by building best in class reporting tools which will ensure management make well informed decisions, which support both the growth agenda and ongoing profitability of the group.

The role will be a key member of the finance team and encompasses the following areas:

• Monthly reporting process – Preparation of divisional monthly reporting for distribution into the business, such that effective business partnering can take place. This will require utilising members of the finance and wider team to assist and feed into this process, as well as the skills to be able to pull data and analyse it such that the reporting adds value to the reader. This will include analysis and reporting on overheads.

The role holder will be responsible for helping to develop the reporting tools and set up the data manipulation in the background to support it – strong Excel skills are needed to support this.

• Budgeting and reforecasting – Supporting the forecasting team in the annual budget and reforecast process, and providing review of the inputs from the countries on the budget submissions. This will require the role holder to work with key owners in the business to understand the key assumptions and key value drivers to performance.

• Ad Hoc projects – production of ad hoc analysis requested by the senior finance business partners



• Educated to degree level or equivalent

• Part qualified accountant: CIMA/ACCA/ACA etc

• Advanced ability in MS Excel

• Strong knowledge/experience in financial analysis

• Good knowledge of financial accounting systems

• Strong communicator – verbal and written

• Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence and not just accept

• This role will face a variety of challenges – some may only require simple, rehearsed intervention whereas others will be more complex and will require more technical input

• Arrow is a fast-paced organisation which in-turn creates complex situations requiring a confident, thoughtful and efficient approach to achieve the desired outcomes


• The Arrow Global Group finance team is young, dynamic and responsible for delivering to tight deadlines to support the business to meet its growth objectives.

• All members of the team are given supervision and coaching, but will often work autonomously and under their own initiative. This allows interaction with people at a senior level.


• This role will be responsible for informing the business on monthly financial performance and the key drivers to that performance

• It will also be expected to deal with other areas of the business as part of accounting projects or the ongoing budgeting process


• This role currently does not have any direct reports and reports directly into the Senior finance business partner.
