The Site Manager will be responsible for the development and growth of Claire’s French website (http://www.claires.com/fr/), ensuring ecommerce best practices are developed and localised for the French market, supporting customers and sales growth through online digital merchandising.

About the Role

The role will drive sales in line with annual budgets and forecasts, and delivering the Merchandising and Product strategy for French website (http://www.claires.com/fr/).
There will be a focus on optimising navigation and product content, improved functionality and user experience, conversion path analysis, internal search engine optimisation, and tracking improvements through core KPIs and reporting.
The Site Manager will partner closely with Digital Business Planning and Digital Marketing teams to ensure aligned objectives drive decisions on site changes.

The role will be based at our European Head Office in Birmingham, UK office. The role may require travel to Claires Headquarters located in Hoffman Estates, US and/or Regional French Office located in Paris, France.


·To Manage and Deliver the Claire’s Merchandising and Product Strategy for Claire’s (http://www.claires.com/fr/)

·Optimise the customer journey by monitoring and taking action on key metrics such as page traffic, conversion and abandonment rates.

·Drive the delivery of enriched product content that improves conversion and properly portrays Claires brand and assortment.

·Coordinate with creative and UX teams on A/B testing strageies and execution.

·Localize the the website(s) for language, best sellers, key features, internal search.

·The Site Manager must ensure that they deliver on their areas of responsibility in a timely manner, working to tight deadlines and deliver an outstanding service.

·Coordinate with digital marketing, social, and offline marketing teams to support corporate efforts and ensure a consistant cross-channel experience.

·Analyse E Commerce performance and provide direction and guidance for improvement

·Ensure the content, payments and delivery offered on the site is localised with language and relevancy to the Claire’s (http://www.claires.com/fr/)


·Fluency or native proficiencyin French is required

·Degree or Relevant Qualification

·Previous experience in an E Commerce environment, specifically related to site merchandising, product content creation, user experience, taxonomy, and/or internal search

·Experience leading teams

·Technical experience in and using web-analytics tools, specifically Google Analytics

·Understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), User Experience (UX) and A/B Testing

·Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
