An opportunity has arisen to join a Railway Electrification business which has a proven track record in delivering some of the most complex OLE projects seen in the UK to date. As an Engineering Graduate you will be involved in working on some of the UK’s biggest rail infrastructure projects, initially covering Crewe, Manchester and Basildon; however these locations will vary throughout the UK dependent on current projects.

The successful candidate will develop into a well-rounded and reliable engineer, through exposure to overhead line electrification (OLE) site activities, training and development. Areas covered will include OLE civils work, main steel installation, wiring installation, OLE engineering and design of OLE infrastructure.

Primary duties will include:

·Learn and understand the various aspects of OLE construction

·Learn to assist with planning electrification activities

·Learn and understand the assurance processes associated with construction through trackers, quality check sheets and handback folders

·Work to a 6 monthly rotation over the first 2 years in 4 aspects of the OLE construction business

Do you have….?

·A minimum 2:2 in a relevant engineering discipline

·A full UK driving licence

·An awareness of CDM regulations and safety legislation

·An awareness of the rail construction industry

·Confidence in dealing with a range of people at different level

·Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Are you….?

·Competent in Microsoft office, including Word and Excel

·Accredited to a professional body in engineering (e.g. IMechE, ICE, IET)

·Able to work in a pressurised environment

·Able to work under your own initiative as well as under instruction
