Long term and full time - Foundation Phase Primary School - Nursery class
A full time and long term job is available for an enthusiastic Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant to work in one of my partnership primary schools in the Cardiff north area. This job is full time and long term, to commence on 16th April 2018. This is confirmed via Hays until July 2018 at which point the right person will likely be offered a direct contract with the school, or a permanent role following a probationary period.
The Headteacher of this school has a strong work ethic, and is looking for someone who is like-minded, with a genuine passion for supporting learning, and enhancing the children's educational experience. This will be imperative, as the pupils you will be supporting will be entering school for the first time in April.
The right person will be driven and motivated, with excellent knowledge and understanding of Early Years Education and the Foundation Phase curriculum, and of supporting pupils in this capacity. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this will be essential for providing the utmost support for the pupils.

There is a good chance that this role will become permanent, or that you will be offered a direct contract with the school after a probationary period.
In order to apply for this role you will need;
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant/childcare qualification (or above/equivalent)
Proven experience of supporting children with the Foundation Phase curriculum within a mainstream classroom environment
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Early Years Education and developmental milestones
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop good relationships with pupils and staff alike
A genuine desire to work with young children and enhance/support pupil learning and development in all aspects
