Java Developer - Award-Winning Financial Software House - Blackwater
Java Developer with a good understanding in server-side development using Java 7/8, Spring, Hibernate & relational databases is urgently required to join an award-winning FinTech Software House based in Blackwater.
In this job, you will be a Java Developer as part of a talented and exciting delivery team consisting of around 7-10 developers, Team Lead and QA. Your duties as Java Developer will be to efficiently design and build enterprise quality applications & systems using established design patterns for the financial & insurance sector. Additional duties as a Java Developer within the team will to be involved in code reviews, testing and bug fixing. In return, you'll be introduced and use the latest development trends/technologies in the market, with regular standup's your team to discuss everything from POC's, unit testing, Agile principles and project delivery.
- Commercial experience using Java 8, Spring & Hibernate is essential for the role.
- Experience in relational databases such as MySQL, SQL or NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra/Neo4j) would be great but not essential.
- Commercial experience working in a proper continuous deployment environment using Jenkins/Hudson/Ant/Maven for your tooling would certainly be an eye-brow raiser.
- Experience working in the insurance sector using GWT is a huge bonus.
Due to the strong Agile development environment, you'll be working with in the job knowledge in Agile development principles (Scrum/XP/TDD/BDD) would be great to help you settle in quicker.

This job provides a salary bracket in the region of £45,000 - £75,000 plus a great benefits package including pension scheme, private medical care, 25 days+ holiday, regular reviews, flexible working hours and more. The salary and benefits package can be flexible dependent on numerous factors including level of experience, skill set or relevant experience within this company's field of business.
