They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. Position: Day Support Worker Location: Coventry Contract type: Fixed term until 30th June 2019 Hours: 29.5 per week Salary: £12,578.80 per annum (actual) Closing date: Midday on Thursday 15th March 2018. Interview date: TBC About the role: Their Day Support services provide care and support for a person with dementia during the day in a safe and comfortable environment. This service gives users an opportunity to meet and mix with others, stimulation through social contact and meaningful activities, and an opportunity to pursue personal hobbies and social activities. The service users are collected from home using the day centre minibuses. The candidate will support the service user to be able to accomplish the above and where necessary provide personal care in line with their support plans, they will ensure clients are ready to safely and comfortably use transport provided and act as a driver and escort as necessary. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of their team providing a Day Support service to people with dementia. You will be required to take responsibility for a caseload of clients; contributing to the development of individual support plans; making appropriate risk assessments; working to complete them and helping people with dementia to achieve their potential and maximise their skills. You will undertake any other duties or projects commensurate with the nature and grade of this post as required. About you: Are you someone who can work well as part of a team and are passionate about improving the quality of life for people living with dementia?
