The Apprentice will have the opportunity to experience and become competent in the following;
- Focus on preparing food, starting from simple jobs eg...peeling potatoes, washing salads, chopping onions.
- Working toward more difficult tasks around whole menu for example, preparing meat and fish and cooking simple dishes.
- Later on we will provide training on setting up section and be part of a service team starting on larder/dessert and moving toward being an independent chef on the section.
- Last part of training will be working alongside senior chefs on hot section. Because our menu is challenging, preparing on larder involves most of cooking techniques including steaming, braising, roasting, making pies, terrines etc.
