Could you lead our campaigning activity to keep pancreatic cancer high on the health agenda, to change the future for patients and carers?

Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we’re taking it on.

We are supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer.

We are looking for a Policy & Campaigns Manager to plan and lead campaigning activity, engaging with people affected by the disease to ensure that our campaigns represent those who are directly affected by pancreatic cancer. It will be your responsibility to keep the profile of pancreatic cancer high on the agenda, planning activities to make sure this happens.

This role also involves leading the secretariat function for the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Pancreatic Cancer, working with parliamentarians, other charities and supporters to ensure that our cancer is not left behind. This includes planning parliamentary events and activities across four parliaments in Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month in November.

You will have a good understanding of health policy, including cancer policy and the key stakeholders and organisations in the field, with knowledge of UK parliaments and processes and how to ensure the smooth running of an APPG. It is essential that you have event and project management experience, can research and analyse policy and spot campaign opportunities. You will have the skills to write consultation responses, briefing and letters. This role will involve some travel across the UK outside office hours.

This is a great place to work with highly committed and friendly staff. Our offices are located next to the river with stunning views towards Westminster.

To apply, please download the job pack and supporting statement template from our website.

Closing date Tuesday, 3 April 2018 at 12 noon
