Salary: £22,866 - £36,480
Hours: 35

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

We are looking for an inspirational and passionate teacher of RMPS to join our highly experienced team within our Social Subjects Faculty.

The RMPS department currently offers core RMPS to all year groups S1-S6, Psychology and Philosophy at Higher/N5 qualification levels, as well as the Belief and Values award and People and Society.

The successful candidate would have to demonstrate some experience of teaching and assessing certificate level classes and would have to offer flexibility and willingness in teaching BGE classes across the faculty. The Social Subjects Faculty offers pupils a wide range of activities to enhance their learning including homework and revision clubs as well as trips and the successful candidate should be someone who is keen to be involved in these activities.
