Billing Officer – Denbighshire – What will I be doing?

  • Liaise with departments, consultants, insurers and other third parties to ensure bills accurately reflect the services provided and are in line with any contractual agreements
  • Monitor and audit all aspects of billing routines including late charges and error logs
  • Identify and track reasons why accounts are not able to be billed within the current departmental targets and provide feedback information to the Operations Controller
  • Answer all correspondence and telephone queries within 48 hours of receipt
  • Provide cover for all duties performed in the Central Billing Department during annual leave and sickness
Billing Officer – Denbighshire – What skills do I need to have?

  • Minimum of 6 months billing, finance or insurance experience
  • Understanding of insurance contracts and their application in practice
  • Understanding of billing procedures
  • Intermediate understanding of charging and administration procedures
  • Excellent communication skills - Telephone and Letter Writing
  • GCSC grade C or above including Math and English
  • Intermediate level in MS Excel and Access

Hours:Full time, Monday to Friday

Salary: £16,000 - £17,500 per annum, dependent upon experience

Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, private healthcare plan, additional employee benefits package
