Dimensions are looking for a Volunteering Administrator to join our team. This 6 months contract is for 22.5 hours per week, ideally spread evenly throughout the week, but we are flexible on this. The salary is £21,000 pro rata and will be based from our Theale offices in Reading.

The role will involve joining Dimensions national Volunteering team and providing administrative support to our team of Volunteering Officers.

The focus of the role will mainly centre on support of recruitment activities and ongoing volunteer relationship management.

About the role

  • Ensure all volunteer role profiles are advertised effectively in order to attract volunteers to the role, this includes placing on company websites, online volunteering sites, volunteer bureau’s as well identifying offline locations where posters can be placed
  • Gain relevant background checks for volunteers, such as character references and where required DBS’s in a timely manner
  • Ensure volunteer agreements are signed and all other relevant information is obtained to meet our on boarding requirements
  • Keeping an overview of volunteer training outcomes to inform volunteers and the relevant managers of any areas which are still required to complete
  • Ensuring all volunteer files are transferred into our HR database
  • Handle volunteer related queries via telephone and email in a proactive, customer focused way

About you

The successful applicant will:

  • Be educated to a minimum of A level or equivalent
  • Have previous office or telephone based experience
  • Posses previous experience gained within a HR, recruitment or Volunteering team environment
  • Have clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills
  • An understanding of volunteering best practice would be an advantage.
