This role has been released on a temporary basis they are looking for someone to work with people who are financially responsible for purchasing their own care and support, you will promote social and economic well being and enable people to access services independently of the Council.

Main Duties:

* Hold own work load under the direction of a Contracts and Commissioning Team Officer in support of increased service delivery, applying knowledge and skills to a range of activities demonstrating understanding of the service area, relevant procedures and guidelines.

* Provide support and advice to identified groups or individuals. Undertake direct work with service users who have a diverse range of needs using appropriate methodologies and communication.

* Introduce or give information and advice to service users about other services available to them to address other underlying needs. Establish & maintain appropriate links between service users and other professionals to encourage a clear understanding of each other's priorities and ways of working.

* Analyse and interpret data and information and make recommendations to support decision making by others for a broad range of activities across a service area.

* Communicate effectively with multi agency partners, colleagues and service users, both verbally and in writing through the appropriate use of case notes and other record keeping within information sharing protocols and record keeping policies.

* Promotion of the service including attending events and public speaking, liaising with other health, social care professionals, voluntary and 3rd sector organisations.

* Brokerage of care packages for individuals including the negotiation of rates.

You should match the following criteria:

* Vocational qualification or experience to level 3 or 4 relevant to the service user group or equivalent.

* Practical experience of working with service user groups giving rise to a variety of technical skills and sound understanding of the services available, work practices and processes relevant to the role.

* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding protocols and the threshold levels for service users groups.

* Ability to make analytical reasoning and recommendations about particular areas of work.

* Ability to engage with service users, their families and partner agencies within the relevant codes of practice values (dignity, respect etc)

* Confidence in addressing variety of audiences in relation to subject area

* Ability to manage own work without close supervision

* Understanding and recognition of professional & personal boundaries
