The SEN Teaching Assistant will be a caring and resilient graduate with a minimum of a 2:2 degree. Experience within a similar role is essential due to the nature of the position and any experience or training related to behaviour management and non-verbal communication (e.g. Makaton) is highly advantageous!
Based in Hounslow, the SENCO are looking for a positive graduate to join their team to contribute towards improving the quality of education for children on an ILP. They are easily accessible and are looking to internally train their graduates into teachers!
In this role, the SEN Teaching Assistant will work alongside the SENCO in developing and maintaining behaviour management and individual targets for each pupil. You will provide in-class support when required and take pupils out 1:1 to create a stimulating learning environment. The SEN Teaching Assistant must ensure that the pupils physical and emotional well-being is upheld at all times and must promote development in both academic and social domains.
