The JRL Group is a highly successful, privately owned, national construction group head quartered in North London. With a turnover of in excess of £360m, the business is currently experiencing growth, and as such seeks to strengthen the finance function.
Multiple companies of the group are based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The need has arisen to enhance the accounting support of its’s day to day operations at that location.

The role will report to the Financial Controller, and will involve responsibility for the financial reporting for a number of trading companies and divisions within the group.
·Salary up to £32,000 (reviewed annually)

·Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
·Strong understanding of finance business processes (payroll, A/R, A/P, nominal, procurement etc.)
·Previous experience in a similar accounting role preferable
·Proficient with basic Microsoft office products, specifically Excel to intermediate level required
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills
·Familiarity with Sage/Coins would be a great advantage
·Ability to work to agreed deadlines is essential
·Full preparation of monthly management accounts and management accounts packs
·Preparation of weekly KPI reporting across multiple group companies
·Budgeting and preparation for the annual audit
·Management of accruals and prepayments
·Assistance in implementing stock control
·Balance sheet reconciliations
·First point of contact for operations/query handling
·Business process reviews
