We are working with a large primary academy in Brighton to find a Year 5 Teacher for a long-term supply contract. This successful school in East Brighton are looking for a KS2 teacher to join their team after the Easter holidays for the entirety of the summer term.
This successful and vibrant primary academy are looking for an inspirational class teacher to join their KS2 team as a Year 5 Class Teacher. Situated only a 10-minute drive from the centre of the city and easily accessible by public transport, the school is located in the Whitehawk area of Brighton with its playing fields overlooking the beautiful Sussex Downs. The school believes passionately in the potential of every child with high expectations for staff, parents/carers and their children. The school is a member of a successful academy chain with primary schools across Sussex, with its cluster members working together in a supportive and collaborative way.
As a two-form entry school you will work closely with your parallel class teachers to plan and prepare engaging lessons from the academies curriculum. Using the curriculum, you will teach your pupils about the literary, artistic, mathematical, scientific, social, political and philosophical ideas that shape our world. With a high proportion of students in receipt of FSM across the school, you will also have access to a wide network of support including a full-time welfare manager, 3 learning mentors, a part time counsellor, a full-time specialist PE teacher and access to a Forest school.
As this is a class teaching role you will be "paid to scale" for the duration of this assignment, with this being an excellent opportunity for a teacher who would enjoy the security and job satisfaction of long-term teaching but isn't able to commit to a permanent role.
