Our client is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Officer who will have experience of all aspects of accounts payable.

Reporting to the Transactions Processing Manager you will be joining a busy and dynamic finance team. Solely responsible for the accounts payable function, you will ensure the timely payment and recording of invoices and expenses. You will also assist in the implementation of a new purchasing ordering system. They are looking for someone who is able to adapt, prioritise, meet deadlines and is a team player. Liaising with budget holders and managing the accounts payable inbox, you will be the first point of contact for all accounts payable queries.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Review and entering high volume of invoices and expenses
  • Prepare and review payment check runs per timetable
  • Arrange for urgent payments and Post D/D payments on a timely basis.
  • First point of contact for accounts payable, including researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and any issues.
  • Reconciling monthly payment cards

Education and Experience
  • 2 years accounts payable experience
  • Experience of mid-tier accounting software package
