Year 2 Class Teacher
We are working with a small Primary School in East Sussex to find a Year 2 teacher to join their team from Easter until the end of July. This Seaford based school are looking for an experienced KS1 teacher who is available to take on full-time class teaching responsibilities for the summer term.
This small primary school require a key stage 1 teacher to begin immediately after Easter and continue until the end of this academic year. Warm and welcoming, they are looking for an inspirational practitioner with recent experience of Year 2 SATs. You will be joining a school that believes passionately in nurturing the whole child, with good spiritual, moral, social and cultural development across the school. Pupils behave well in lessons and across the school with good relationships between pupils and staff.
To be suitable for this long-term teaching position, you must have recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally in Year 2. Good knowledge of Jolly Phonics would be preferable, as the school follows the Letters and Sounds national phonic scheme. You should be able to plan well-structured lessons, that match your pupils current knowledge and further challenges them to reach higher standards. You should be available full time, and happy to take on Class Teaching responsibilities involving planning, preparation and assessment, as well as attending any staff meetings and parent's evenings.
You will be joining a supportive and welcoming staff team, with a new and experienced senior leadership team committed to supporting you throughout your time at the school. As this is a class teaching role you will be 'paid to scale' for the duration of this assignment, with this being an excellent opportunity for a teacher who would enjoy the security and job satisfaction of long-term teaching but isn't able to commit to a permanent role.
