We are currently recruiting for a Technical Infrastructure Lead to join a large Business Advisory Consultancy organisation. We operate within 19 countries across the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, Central America and Australia and are currently providing services to 1100 customers in the UK.

While not being a technical trailblazer we always aim to keep a modern technical offering internally and to our customers and we regularly update and expand our technical stack. Our next project is the implementation of Office 365 as well as several other virtualization projects. This role will design and implement those projects along with managing a small IT team of 3 in the maintenance and development of the infrastructure that supports the company. You will also be responsible for managing the internal support tickets and service level agreements that are an essential part of service delivery.

There are a number of new projects in the pipeline that you will be accountable for, these include the transition of business – critical from co – located infrastructure into cloud – based technologies. Therefore the opportunity is ideal for a tech focused individual who is interested to advance their career, working within a globally distributed team who share their passion for success in this very progressive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Within this role you will deliver on the technical vision as set-out by the global CIO – based in the head offices – Sydney, Australia.You must be passionate about industry standards and best practices and understand the requirements of ISO27001. Identification of key-man risks and the introduction of process to mitigate and remove these risks is essential.Your ability to remain hands-on is essential – this role demands a creative approach to lead a small team and a willingness to embrace change. You will be responsible to maintain the complete infrastructure portfolio and associated documentation, and lead the business into ISO27001 compliance.Cost management is crucial, and you will be responsible to manage technology reviews and propose options for cost reductions.Requirements Experience with a high number of the following would be essential. Training will be available where there are knowledge gaps and certification opportunities will be available where relevant.
