Job Role

We are looking for a pro-active credit controller to support the Finance team by responding to customer invoice queries, amending invoices and processing special requirements. You will take responsibility for carrying out all duties relating to credit control.

Responsibilities and Duties

    Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure smooth operation of all finance mattersResolve Invoice and Direct Debit queries by phone and emailProcess customer special arrangements and amendments to invoices as required and ensure the relevant team members are informed of changesPrepare and Maintain large spreadsheets regarding debt controlControl multiple debtor spreadsheet, each relating to different departments and products within the businessBuild relationships with customers to improve number of debtors and days outstandingPlan, organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate mannerAssist with month end preparation and proceduresAny other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this roleA certain level of flexibility regarding availability outside normal working hours is required at month end
Qualifications and Skills

    Experience of working within a finance departmentAAT Qualified or working towardsStrong working knowledge of SageSound understanding of accounting processes and proceduresAwareness of the provisions of the Data Protection Act and be able to apply these within the organisationExcellent level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook and computerised accounting softwareGood keyboard skillsExcellent communication and listening skillsExcellent organisational skills used in planning own workCalm and professional dispositionSelf-motivated and enthusiasticAbility to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlinesAble to work in a busy office environment that often demands high levels of concentrationAble to respond effectively to changing prioritiesAble to manage high volume workloadAble to work effectively with minimal management guidance/supervisionWillingness to accept responsibilityGood analytical abilityGood problem solving ability
