Chase and Holland have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a fantastic international manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire. The Senior Buyer will play a key role in formulating the organisations purchasing strategy. This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a very well established and successful business who are looking to implement new purchasing processes and strategies across the business.
Key duties of the Senior Buyer will include:
- Reviewing existing contracts and negotiating agreements
- Managing a team of buyers
- Analysing and managing a multi-million pounds spend budget
- Implementing and managing supplier KPI’s
- Identifying and implementing cost and process improvements across the organisation
- Continuously liaising with stakeholders across the business including reporting to senior management
This is a great full time permanent role which will suit someone who is very operationally astute and can demonstrate the ability to effectively engage with a wide variety of UK and international stakeholders.
Who should apply?
You must have proven purchasing experience (CIPS qualified or part qualified ideally) and have worked with within a senior purchasing position. You will be highly motivated to improve processes and keep cost and spend to a minimum. Someone who thrives on operations and continuous improvement would be ideal for this role.
