Office 365 & SharePoint Administrator

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office 365 & SharePoint Administrator to join our IT team.

Key responsibilities will include:

    Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to Service Desk for Office 365 issues, incidents and requests;Collaborate with other IT staff as it may pertain to Office 365 user accounts, user management and functionality;Support staff through training, documentation, and problem resolution and write staff-facing content on the use and management of the Office 365 suite as required;Champion the use of Office 365, supporting users and promoting best practice usage;Define and administer content lifecycle tasks and policies (such as archiving content, routine content, review and holding stakeholders accountable for maintaining said content per regulations);Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;Perform periodic performance monitoring and reporting to support capacity planning;Manage application upgrades, ensuring appropriate testing is completed and leveraging adoption of newly delivered functionality as appropriate;Assist with the development of SharePoint solutions from the End Customer requirements;Monitoring data volumes; creating capacity and availability reports; test and deploy SharePoint Solutions;Maintain the key components of the SharePoint Solution using a combination of PowerShell and other SharePoint 2016 and Windows Server 2016 administration tools;Assist with the Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows as well as the development of business dashboards and document repositories;Carry out preventative maintenance and monitoring using End Customer provided tools;Work in a disciplined and structured manner in accordance with ITIL V3 based service management processes;Participate in design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas in a team environment.
The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

    A broad IT background with a good understanding of applications, infrastructure and support;Demonstrable experience with Microsoft products, services and operating systems;Detailed understanding of User Management in a Microsoft environment;Experience in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and AD group policy management;Experience supporting and maintaining software applications;Good business knowledge;Experience of working in a global organization with geographically dispersed team members and users;PowerShell scripting is desirable but not essential as training can be given;Completed or demonstrable understanding of ITSM/ITIL V3.
