Can you tell a story?

Then you might be just the right person to help us raise awareness of MacIntyre: to tell the everyday stories of the people we support, and some of the extraordinary stories too.

MacIntyre is an award-winning national charity. Our vision is for all people with a learning disability to live a life that makes sense to them.

We are seeking a Communications Officer to raise MacIntyre's profile with all our major stakeholders through our website, e-newsletters, printed newsletters, marketing materials, publications, local and sector press and social media, as well as supporting our fundraising and other events.

You may be an experienced communications professional looking for a chance to make your mark with a national charity, or a new graduate looking for your first marketing role.

Whatever your experience, you'll need to demonstrate your ability to communicate, providing examples of previous work. You will be self-motivated with strong interpersonal, presentation and teamwork skills. A genuine enthusiasm for MacIntyre’s work is essential.

You may also have the ability to work on a wide range of ICT packages, with an eye for design and detail, in order to produce our newsletters and other materials.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours a week. It is likely to include occasional evening work, with time off in lieu. You must be willing to travel nationally, with overnight stays as required. Ideally therefore, you will have a driving licence and your own transport, but it may be possible to use public transport.

To find out more about what your day will be like, take a look at what our current Communications Officer has to say in the 'Day in the Life' attached to this advert (on the MacIntyre site).

- MacIntyre Staff Savings Scheme
- MacIntyre Rewards Scheme

The salary range above depends on experience and qualifications.
