The program offers graduates an alternative to the traditional routes into teaching such as PGCE or Schools Direct. It is a 2-year program that is both school-based and paid, but is a softer approach into teaching, giving you the opportunity to develop responsibility at your own pace.

The school are looking for a Trainee English Teacher with a minimum of a 2:1 in their degree, with strong A-levels and GCSE’s to support your academia. Experience supporting pupils academically will be advantageous for this role, as you have the existing knowledge of the classroom dynamics and school expectations.

Premier Pathways

The program is broken into 2 years and will graduate with PGCE and QTS supplied by the University of Buckingham upon completion.

Year One:

>For the first 6 weeks, you will act in a support role to familiarise yourself with the school and the staff before going for an interview in October.

>If accepted, term 2 and 3 will be an extension of this support role before completing training and taking a 50% teaching timetable.

Year Two:

>As a Trainee English Teacher, you will take up to an 80% teaching timetable alongside assessments and observation to gain the PGCE and QTS.

>Maintain an online portfolio throughout the program.
