ADVANCED PRACTITIONER SONOGRAPHER Essex - (Band 7)
Salary: £31,696 TO £41,787
We are looking for an enthusiastic Advanced Practitioner Sonographer with relevant experience to provide an efficient and high quality service to patients. You will be joining a friendly, expanding team in this challenging and rewarding role.
You will be required to carry out scanning on a wide and complete range of Ultrasound examinations and issue reports within the District on a rotational basis therefore a car driver is preferable. The range of examinations includes Obstetrics, Nuchal Translucency, Gynaecology and General Medical Ultrasound.
The Trust is committed to providing opportunities for CPD with monthly clinical meetings and opportunities to attend study days. You will provide a high quality, efficient and effective ultrasound service to the local population undertaking ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocol. The departmental clinical governance strategy ensures a high standard of care for patients undergoing ultrasound examinations and promotes multidisciplinary team working.
You will join the team as a band 7 Sonographer and relocation expenses may be available for eligible candidates.
Qualifications & Experience
- HCPC Registration or equivalent
- PGD / PG Cert/ MSc / DMU in Medical Ultrasound or hold an equivalent postgraduate medical ultrasound qualification
- Good, up to date knowledge base of modern ultrasound practice
- Excellent communication skills and leadership skills
