Our client is an integrated facilities management services who provide the solutions, support, and facilities management services and they are currently looking for a Combustion Engineer to cover sites across Newbury and Reading

* To ensure that the delivery of skilled aspects are performed in an effective, efficient and professional manner and to the complete satisfaction of all of our direct and indirect clients.
* To provide reactive, planned and Service and Maintenance cover to boilers (Gas and Oil) across the area of responsibility
* To support the Site Safety, Health and Environment activities.
Principle Accountabilities:

* Provision of maintenance services to all aspects of asset and plant across the site including repair and planned maintenance work
* Carry out skilled heating, combustion and plumbing maintenance, repair and improvements.
* Install new plant and equipment when required.
* Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant.
* Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.
* To undertake other General Planned maintenance, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
* Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.
* To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
* To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
* To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
* To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
* To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines.
* Able to carry out electrical works and small mechanical/plumbing works such as water tap changing etc.
* Ensure all works are undertaken in compliance with and Client policies
* Adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems at all times, ensuring Legislative compliance
* Ensure continuity of essential site systems and equipment.
* Ensure that all plant and systems are maintained and operated in order to provide maximum efficiency, availability and reliability.
* Carry out remedial and/or refurbishment works arising from breakdown or maintenance inspections.
* Respond to reactive maintenance/breakdown calls for the helpdesk and carrying out remedial work as necessary, providing feedback information to customer and helpdesk as required.
* Assume the role of Competent Person within the service team
* Ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance.

Person Specification:

* A recognised gas industry qualification (E)
* Gas Safe registration (E)
* OFTEC qualification (D)
* UK Driving license (E)
* High level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills (E)
* Ability to plan and organise (E)
* Be commercially aware (D)

Working Monday to Friday between 08:00 to 17:00 / 1 hour or Shift based – 2 week rotation 07:30 to 16:30 / 10:00 to 19:00

Overtime available paid at X1.5 Mon to Sat, X2 Sun and BH's flat with a DOIL

Must be happy to work on an on call basis, frequency currently 1 in 10, £85 per on call week / 4 hour min
