About the role
We now have a new opportunity for a Telephone Business Development Manager offering up to £27,000. Our client is an established lender who are rapidly expanding and offer superb scope to develop their career within the Head office of a specialist Buy to Let and Residential Lending Business. The opportunity will focus on building a presence for our clients lending products within the mortgage intermediary market, you will have a specific region to manage and will supporting a Regional Account Manager to maximise growth within that specific region. The successful candidate will be managing and developing new and existing relationships with key intermediaries to maximise business levels for the business.

Responsibilities and Experience required for the role of TelephoneBusiness Development Consultant

  • Building a presence in the broker market place by telephone within a specific region in line with company strategies
  • Work in conjunction with your Regional Account Manager to maximise growth within your geographical area ensuring you have an agreed strategy in place to meet business objectives and sales targets
  • Proactively manage your region through outbound calling in line with the company sales process
  • Proactively identify firms/brokers with potential to submit a high volume of business and refer to your Regional Account Manager for a face to face visit
  • Manage and develop existing and new relationships to maximise business levels to the quality required
  • Plan and organise own workload to ensure personal and team objectives and deadlines are met
  • Take responsibility for personal development, identifying and pursuing opportunities where appropriate to maintain and develop expertise. Ensuring continual personal and functional credibility within the business
  • Previous/existing knowledge within the Buy to Let and residential mortgage industry
  • Strong understanding of mortgage industry and regulation
  • Previous experience of telephone-based business development in the mortgage industry
  • Excellent communication & relationship management skills
  • Confident and professional at pitching product propositions to mortgage introducers
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Experience of working within Financial Services environment
  • Ideally MCD or CeMAP qualified
