Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively recruiting on behalf of an education organisation in Cheltenham. Our client is currently recruiting for a temporary full time Purchase Ledger Clerk to start immediately for 3 months. Ideally suited to an immediately available candidate with a minimum of two years experience within a similar vacancy. The main duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
  • Process business expense returns
  • Cashbook and petty cash cheques
  • Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques

In return for this excellent temporary Purchase Ledger opportunity in an excellent location, the client is willing to offer 37 hours a week based on a competitive hourly rate between £9-11 per hour DOE. This organisation has onsite parking and the opportunity for an on going contract once the initial 3 months have passed.
