Public Health Analyst

We wish to appoint a Public Health Analyst to our existing skilled and experienced intelligence team within Lincolnshire County Council Public Health. The post holder will provide analysis and intelligence to support Lincolnshire County Council, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and other organisations working to improve health and reduce health inequalities in Lincolnshire. They will create intelligence to support service delivery and the provision of advice to health and care commissioners, through investigation and interpretation of patterns and trends in disease, prevention, intervention and treatment pathways.
The Public Health Intelligence Team provides timely and appropriate intelligence and advice to Lincolnshire’s public health staff, wider professionals and stakeholders, to help inform public health decision-making about services, policy and strategy.
We understand and respond to intelligence requirements, develop the knowledge and intelligence capability amongst other and embed a culture of evidence and intelligence-based practice in public health.
Applicants must be highly numerate graduates, with excellent data and statistical analysis skills, relevant experience of public health intelligence, analysis and interpretation and a high level of IT skills, for example in using databases such as SQL. They must also possess highly developed self-management, team working and communication skills.
