Your new role
The clinical Matron is a key role in the leadership of the children's community nursing (CCN) service which includes, support workers, specialist nurses and advanced nurse practitioners. As part of the clinical leadership and operational management team within the specialist services in Southampton and West Hampshire localities the clinical matron will work to ensure the delivery of high quality nursing care as part of a safe, comprehensive and sustainable NHS at Home children's community nursing service (DoH,2011).
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in Community Specialist Public Health, Community Children's Nursing or Nurse Practitioner- children or another appropriate degree eg Child Health.
- Relevant post graduate qualification/Level M study , with evidence of working to completion of Master's Degree if not achieved
- Significant experience in a leadership role including contributing and participation in clinical development of children's services.
- Mentorship module at degree level or equivalent
