An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator within the Web & EDI Team. This is a full-time position reporting to the Web Development Manager. Exertis operate a number of websites, web solutions, ecommerce platforms and EDI Integrations, with new ones being created every week, all of which require day-to-day management and support. Supporting the development team, this role is essential to the day-to-day operation of all the business’s web solutions. This role would suit those with previous customer services experience in a technical setting.


1 Handle Customer Order enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
2 Monitor all Exertis Websites, Web Applications, eCommerce platforms and EDI Interfaces.
3 Be the first-line support contact for all web and EDI related queries, from internal staff, customers, vendors and partners.
4 Become the “subject matter expert” on the operational aspects of all web & EDI solutions.
5 Perform investigations, maintenance and diagnostics to resolve issues.
6 To escalate issues to the relevant development team(s), providing sufficient information on the issue.
7 Take ownership of all day-to-day operational and first-line support tasks.
8 Support Marketing activities on the web and through email marketing channels.
9 Build strong relationships with other departments within the business.
10 Perform housekeeping tasks, including data (including data entry) and user management.
11 To support the other members of the development team(s).
12 Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct.

Required Skills

1 Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, customers, vendors and partners, verbally, by email and by telephone.
2 Ability to use web based Portals and Back-office solutions.
3 Ability plan tasks, and manage and prioritise issues.
4 Ability to investigate and diagnose issues.
5 Eagerness to learn about all existing and new web solutions.
6 Ability to report progress to the Web Development Manager.
7 Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
8 Ability to use various online tools, and to learn new ones.
9 Ability to understand, at a high level, web architecture and data flows.
10 Ability to understand business processes.
11 Attention to detail.

Technical Skills

1 1+ years Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
2 Previous experience supporting websites.
3 Experience of using online and web based tools and back offices.

Desirable skills

1 Previous experience with managing Customer, Orders and Products on eCommerce platforms.
2 Previous customer services experience.
3 Exposure to using an ERP such as Oracle or SAP.
4 Understanding of EDI
