Job Description

The Key Stage One (KS1) Multi-Sports Coach is responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of a range of sports and activities to our youngest group of children (aged 4-7) attending Kings Camps. Activities include anything from coaching football, parachute games, balloon games to leading team building activities. You will be delivering a high energy, fun and inclusive programme that is suitable for, and engages, younger children.

Skills match

  • Experience of working with children aged 4-7 years in a sports coaching, education or activity setting
  • Hold an NVQ in childcare or be studying primary teaching or a childcare related degree
  • Hold a valid paediatric first aid qualification (training opportunities are available)
  • A passion for working with young people
  • Strong organisational and creative skills
  • Vibrant, fun, confident personality
  • Commitment to high quality customer service to parents and children
  • Team player with a willingness to adapt
  • Have an interest in playing or officiating sport

Hours, Rate of Pay

  • 08.00-18.00 daily. We pay minimum living wage, plus additional accrued holiday pay.
  • Pay rate: £6.61-£8.90

Dates and Location

  • Over 50 locations in England, Scotland and Wales
  • Our camps take place during the school holidays in February, Easter, May, Summer and October - we expect your commitment to a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks but dependent upon the length of a season

Staff Selection Process

Child welfare is our number one priority, therefore our selection includes:

  • Interview, either in-person or by Skype
  • Professional and personal reference checks
  • A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (or equivalent for Scottish Residents)
