French speaking accounts assistant role.

Reporting to the Finance Director, assisting with transactional accounting up to trial balance.

Client Details

Well established multimillion turnover manufacturing organisation. Working within a medium sized finance team.


As an accounts assistant you will be responsible for both AP and AR duties:

Accounts Payable Responsibilities

Cost vendor creation

OCR Scanning ( Creating Electronic purchase Invoices)

Workflow- secure approval for CC invoices

Workflow- match GRN to stock invoices

Prepare payment schedules for approval

Process and allocate the payments to vendors

Receive and process vendor reminders

Ensure credits notes received for incorrect prices

Reconcile Vendor Account statements

Customs & Import VAT Reconciliation

Close at period end -AP reconciliation

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities

Customer Credit Assessment

Annual Credit Assessment

Maintain Bank Statements to asses funds Clearing

Allocating Direct Debits/Cheques/BACs payments

Allocate and control Customer Prepayments

Receivable Collections of debts

Liaise with External Legal Collections of debt

Maintain Provisions for Bad debts

Close at period end -AR reconciliation


The successful candidate must have:

Previous finance experience

Fluent in French

Positive attitude

Excellent communication skills
