Farrer Barnes are working with a very successful and high-achieving school in South London to recruit an interim Finance and Administration Manager. This is a pivotal role ensuring the school manages its resources effectively and efficiently and will be supporting the Bursar and Headteacher. The successful candidate will have strong experience ideally within a secondary school and will have at least 3 years of experience of working in a finance department. The candidate will be organised, professional, and able to easily command respect from their colleagues.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

• Administration support of Finance, HR and School Office
• Financial support of the School’s Income and Expenditure during the Financial Year, and other financial processes that support this process
• Assistance with preparation of budgetary information, for presentation to the Board of Governors for their approval and on-going monitoring of the budget to ensure income and expenditure remains in line with expectations
• Assisting the Bursar and Headteacher with day to day financial and operational issues across the school.

The role is full-time position and there is the possibility of this leading to a permanent role upon completion.
