Williams Lea Tag seeks a GDPR Risk Consultant 3m FTC to join our team!
Are you self-motivated with a “can do” attitude? Are you able to expedite the update and data quality standards within the Data Inventory and Risk Management System and to identify key risks and the remediation required to mitigate these risks? Do you have experience of Demonstrable knowledge of Data Protection, specifically GDPR.
Williams Lea Tag (WLT) maintains a Global Risk and Compliance (R&C) function that supports all divisions of the business, and the functions within. The function is independent of Management with responsibility for working in partnership with the business to provide the integrated R&C Framework to ensure risk, compliance and assurance services are identified and appropriately actioned or mitigated.
Regional R&C teams provide regional support through the provision of effective business risk services

The Job:
The individual’s primary responsibility will be to expedite the update and data quality standards within the Data Inventory and Risk Management System and to identify key risks and the remediation required to mitigate these risks.

The Fit:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be confident to facilitate workshops where you will work with the end business owners to complete Data Processing Registers (DPRs) and Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA). You will update the Data Inventory and Risk Management System to high quality standards and work with the business to improve data quality where data is missing. You will work with the Project Manager to identify key risks from the DPIA and define and prioritise remediation where required.

Key requirements:
Data Protection – Knowledge of Data Protection Act 1998 and /or General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Information Security including Management Systems ISO27001
ISO9001 Quality and/or ISO27001 Information Security Internal Audit experience
Business and IT Analytical skills

The Experience:
We are looking for someone with strong educational achievement, ideally to degree level with a relevant professional experience in Business Analysis and/or Risk Management. You will have demonstrable knowledge of Data Protection, specifically GDPR.
Desirable Skills include experience as an Information Security Internal Auditor, experience of the business process outsourcing industry and supply chain, including outsourced services to financial sectors and the consumer/retail sectors. Ideally, knowledge of core business functions (e.g. operations, sales, marketing communications, finance, corporate governance) and being computer literate and experienced in Microsoft Office applications, and has an ability to understand and learn risk management software packages and spread sheet based tools.
You will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing. This means excellent written and spoken English. You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong negotiating and influencing skills, be supportive nature, ability to recognise and provide firm leadership when support is required directly by team members and business partners. You will have an eye for detail and the ability to perform accurate work. You will be good at keeping to tight deadlines coupled with the ability to continually develop knowledge and skills to maintain and improve personal performance and effectiveness in a changing environment.
