An exciting opportunity has arisen with West Suffolk Councils to become an ICT Technical Development Officer supporting the Anglia Revenues Partnership transformation of councils’ services team. You will join us on a full time, temporary contract for up to 18 months and will be offered a completive salary of £30,785 - £36,379 per annum depending on qualifications/experience (potentially rising to £36,379 through annual Performance Review awards)

Forest Heath and St Edmundsbury Councils are merging to become West Suffolk Council and Waveney and Suffolk Coastal are merging to become East Suffolk Council. The underlying ICT systems require fundamental review and change to ensure all business systems continuity of service is maintained throughout this period and ongoing in line with the new structures.

The ICT Technical Development Officer role:

This is a varied and challenging role and we are looking for a strong team player who can make an immediate impact, with excellent customer facing skills and a desire to be part of an ambitious forward thinking team. This is a temporary post for a period of up to 18 months.

This supporting role will be based at the Anglia Revenues Partnership (ARP), Breckland House, Thetford. However, there may will be a requirement to work at Councils’ premises across East and West Suffolk Councils as required in order to meet the needs of the service.

Our ideal ICT Technical Development Officer:

We are looking for a technical officer who can demonstrate solid experience of implementing and supporting a range of ICT products using a variety of ICT skills. The successful candidate will be highly motivated with the ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly. Experience of database administration, systems integration and data cleansing/matching techniques is highly desirable, as is knowledge of Microsoft’s Windows server products including SQL Database Server. Experience of working with Redhat Linux and Ingres Database administration skills will be advantageous for this role.
