Their mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.THE ROLEThe Press Officer reports to the Media Manager and is responsible for developing and delivering a PR strategy for targeting specialist scientific publications, trade and business journals and overseas media. You will generate on and offline media coverage that successfully highlights the charity's science, conservation, education and fundraising activity.YOUThe successful candidate will have: - a proven track record of devising and delivering high impact PR and media strategies ideally within the charity or visitor attraction sector- excellent news sense - a successful track record of generating excellent media coverage on a small budget- excellent relationships with a range of journalists in consumer, trade and science press- experience working with the science and conservation press is an advantage- demonstrable experience of crisis communications - photography, filming and editing skills are an advantage - experience running press conferences, media launches, briefings and photocalls- experience working as a journalist or press officer in a similar news environment is essentialIf this sounds like you, please apply online today.
