NRL are currently recruiting for an Estimator to work on various nuclear power stations in the UK. The work will involve carrying out short packages of decommissioning work per site.

Key Accountabilities:

- Reports to the Estimating Manager for functional requirements.
- Interfaces with the Work Scope Manager, Designers, Suppliers, Planners, Cost Engineers, Risk Coordinator / Practitioner and Financial Management Team.

Safety Accountabilities:
To maintain compliance with standards and expectations concerning safety.

Quality Accountabilities:

- To comply with programme controls procedures, processes and systems to ensure that quality and consistency is maintained.
- To contribute to improving the quality and performance of cost control processes and systems.

Functional Requirements:

- Understands how to build estimate from first principles.
- Understands the key factors involved with building a robust estimate, stakeholder engagement and how to define requirements at the outset.
- Capable of producing varying levels of estimate commensurate with the project stage and available information.
- Understands how to interpret and apply cost data from various sources.
- Understands the key information required to support a robust estimate.
- Understands and can apply concepts such as risk, contingency and estimating uncertainty.
- Capable of discussing requirements with, and seeking prices from suppliers. Can assemble price enquiries.
- Capable of auditing estimates prepared by others and producing reports.

Person Specification/ Qualifications:
Substantial estimating experience required, ideally of projects in the Nuclear sector or similar scale projects in comparable sectors such as Oil and Gas.
