Business Development Manager

A new and exciting role to help drive this already successful client to bigger and better things.

Our client is a large photography studio

About the Role:
The key responsibility in this role is to INCREASE TURNOVER
You will do this by
• Developing and implementing a sales strategy, identifying and targeting potential new clients and industry sectors.
• Identifying new “key / blue chip” clients by using a combination of: your own research methods, existing client lists, networking
• Securing these new clients using proven and appropriate sales methods including face to face meetings / tele-sales / networking / marketing tools / email / negotiating etc.
• Working to our approved quotation methods you will provide comprehensive, accurate and relevant quotations ensuring profit maximisation
• Communicating at senior level (decision maker) to cement and subsequently enhance relationships
You will also be responsible for:
• Organising our attendance at key and appropriate events / shows
• Producing monthly sales reports and other necessary reporting at team meetings
• Working with our sales managers to ensure development of both new and existing clients in line with sales strategy
• Manage the sales team and its activity, including setting and communicating sales and marketing KPI’s and identifying necessary training or mentoring needs
• Ensuring the sales team update the CRM effectively with all appropriate data
• Liaise with all functions of the business including the production team to plan and schedule work effectively

About You:
You will be a confident, articulate professional, able to present and sell our growing portfolio of photography services to a diverse range of customers.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Proven Sales background, you must be able to demonstrate your previous success across a diverse range of customers and industry sectors
• Experienced negotiator and deal maker
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to inspire performance and teamwork
• Have the ability to generate your own qualified leads
• Relevant industry experience - ideally from a competitor
• Highly motivated with a genuine drive to succeed.
• Commercially aware and dealt with procurement teams and tender
• Managed sales people before
