Do you want to work within a first class Aerospace Manufacturing company?

We now require an additional Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter to join the team, working on and maintaining CNC Machinery such as, CNC Millers, CNC Lathes, CNC Grinding machinery etc. You will be tasked to maintain CNC Machinery across the machine shop in this large manufacturer that machine precision engineered components for some of the world’s largest Aerospace manufacturers.

The basics:

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm

Location: Birmingham (South of central

Salary: £30,000 + OT = earnings of £35,000 and upwards

Overtime: Paid at 1.5 and double

Benefits: 33 days’ holidays + Xmas Shutdown, Childcare Vouchers, On Site Parking, Long Service Awards, Pension

Essential Skills required:

* Previous experience within a manufacturing/industrial environment as a Mechanical maintenance engineer/fitter

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

To maintain service and repair all on site CNC machinery to minimise production down time.

Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns


The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

* Time served apprenticeship
* Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, CNC machinery maintenance environment or similar.
* Knowledge and understanding of CNC Machinery maintenance would be highly beneficial – however other maintenance backgrounds considered
* Any welding or machining experience advantageous
* Electrically competent – beneficial
