My Client is a leading international product design, development and manufacturing engineering business, specialising in the design and manufacture of automated machinery for some of the world’s largest OEM battery manufacturers, and employing over 140 people at their site in Gloucestershire. An enthusiastic and hard-working student, currently in their final year of an IT related degree course or recently graduated, is required to assist the IT Manager in supporting and developing the company's IT infrastructure and business systems at our brand new purpose-built office at Gloucester Business Park.

Main Roles and Responsibilities
• Assist with the provision, maintenance and support of end-user hardware, operating systems and client software.
• Assist with the provision, maintenance and support of IT Infrastructure equipment. (Physical and Virtual Servers; Storage Arrays; Network Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points; Phone Systems, Mobile Devices and any other equipment as required)
• Maximise the company’s investment in Office 365.
• Assist in the rollout and management of corporate Security Awareness Training, IT Usage and GDPR procedures.
• Assist in the implementation, support and management of IFS Applications, and other business systems. An understanding or experience of Oracle and SQL database management and Crystal Reports is desirable but not essential.
• Assist with the development and testing of disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may also be required to perform other duties from time to time. This role will also involve the support of our global offices and remote workers.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• You will have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to analyse problems quickly and skilfully, but sometimes with patience and perseverance.
• You will be reliable, efficient and organised and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic IT support experience in a first line, helpdesk or a similar technical support role would be advantageous but not essential.

Remuneration circa £20K

Hours of work 37 hours per week

Annual Leave 25 days’ holiday per year in addition
to usual bank holidays.
