Job Overview: Our clients, a successful manufacturer of Injection Moulded Components, are looking to expand their team with the appointment of a Quality Inspector (02/04/2018)

General Summary: To be successful for the role of Quality Inspector, it is a prerequisite that candidates have experience working in a plastics manufacturing environment and experience in quality. Prior CMM, Calliper, laser and SURF experience are desirable

As Quality inspector you will play an integral role in ensuring the manufactured product is to customer standards. This post includes responsibilities for usage of various equipment and gauging, dealing with Held notices, first offs, In-Process and last off checks, maintaining records, production of quality performance reports and liaising with senior staff members. These duties must be undertaken whilst following and adhering to company procedures, KPIs as well as health, safety and environmental regulations.

• To follow and adhere to Company Procedures.
• Usage of a various equipment and gauging
• Dealing with Held notices, Rejections and faults
• To record all test results primarily on computer
• Visual inspection
• To apply Held notices against batches of concern.
• First offs, In-Process and last off checks.
• To on-going audit associated paperwork, to comply with procedural documentation.
• Maintaining records -filing
• Quality performance reports
• Measurement of various component parts plastic / brass
• Maintaining a high standard of output in line with production demands
• Dealing with senior members of staff – good communication skills
• To keep the working environment in a clean and safe working condition.
• Comply with all current work instructions within the organisation.
• Comply fully with all current health, safety & environmental regulations in operation within the company whilst carrying out your duties.
• Carry out any reasonable task which falls within your capabilities
