Assembly/Fitting Supervisor (bespoke equipment manufacture)

Up to £32,000 basic plus overtime and expenses

Days with some overseas travel

Commutable from Manchester, Warrington, Didsbury, Worsley, Eccles


Due to continued success and investment in the business we are recruiting for a self-motivated Team Leader from a machine build environment to supplement the existing team. They provide fantastic training and development taking pride in progressing people within the business. Their staff turnover is low – the opportunity comes about due to expansion of the site.

The Role

Reporting in to the Manufacturing Manager you will lead an accomplished small team of fitters who have a strong working knowledge of the business and its current processes. Day to day you will lead and supervise, but also be very hands on as well assembling/building the automated storage systems (walls, ceiling, racking, doors, sub assemblies) ready for factory acceptance tests. After this it is taken apart and shipped overseas where your team would travel to and re build on the customer site.

The Person


Experienced within an OEM machine build project environment - working with modified/bespoke finished products

Mechanical HNC or HND in Engineering - strong preference
* Shop fitting bench skills (drilling, building, fixing) with an engineering background and knowledge of engineering drawings.

Intricate attention to detail to meet customer expectation

Experience of leading a small team of people within an MRP controlled environment

Flexible to work overtime and travel overseas where necessary (currently around 25%-50%)

Excellent attitude and customer facing communication skills
