EYFS Teaching Assistant in Rochdale

Empowering Learning are recruiting Early Years Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Rochdale.

My school has a requirement for an Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant to join them on a temporary ongoing basis from September 2018.

The ideal applicant would have recent experience working with children in an EYFS setting. You will either have a formal Teaching Assistant qualification or be experienced for a minimum of 1 year in employment or voluntary work as a TA. You will also have delivered phonics support to children independently.

You will be working under the direction of the class teacher, but you will be responsible for working with groups of children; sometimes outside of the main classroom, so you must be confident to do this. You will also have very strong behaviour management and be able to hold the attention of groups of children by providing engaging and interactive sessions.

To be considered for the position you must have the following:

- Effective communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

- Ability to use own initiative and be flexible.
