Up to £60,000 per annum + Car + Bonus

The Company

This excellent opportunity with a Global Engineering and Technology business are thriving and looking for a Facilities Manager to continue their dedicated service to the Rail Industry. The company have secured a number of high profile orders to deliver and service brand new trains across the UK.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be an analytical thinker, with exceptional fault-finding skills. An experienced Facilities Manager, who have the ability to manage several sites in the North of England, ensuring all planned and reactive facilities maintenance is carried out effectively. You’ll have knowledge of equipment such as Heat and vent systems, water systems, fire protection, CCTV, HV and LV electrical systems, Fuel delivery systems, compressed air.

The Role

You will be responsible for the maintenance of site infrastructure, plant and equipment to enable the safe and cost-effective delivery within budget. Lead asset improvement projects whilst maintaining depot operations, minimise costs and ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards. Ensure plant and infrastructure maintenance is carried out at prescribed intervals, in accordance with legislative standards and that plant is available 24/7 to meet business requirements. Budgetary responsibility for Infrastructure and plant maintenance activities circa £2M. Control of Sub Contractor management – set up safe systems of work with Permit to work, review and acceptance of risk assessments and method statements. Ensure that the depots operate in accordance with UK legislation (e.g. H&S at Work acts, LOLER, PUWER), the local authority planning conditions, consents, and environmental obligations.

The Requirements

Formal qualification in Health and safety management and project management would be an advantage

HNC or above in electrical or mechanical engineering

Membership of BFIM would be an advantage

Environmental legislation knowledge such as consent to discharge waste disposal and L8

Knowledge of working within ISO 9001, LOLER and PUWER regulations
