Finance Business Manager


This role is one of 6 Finance Business Manager roles within the UK Region. The role is responsible for a cluster of brands, managing the P&L and supply chain (demand planning, inventory management etc). This role works closely with the London brand management teams for the cluster, and fulfils a business partnering role with the aim of adding and driving value, ensuring financial viability and ROI of initiatives. The Business Manager role is supported by a FP&A responsible for elements of the P&Ls and acting as understudies for those brands.


Strategy, Planning and Estimate process

Contributes to elements of the strategic direction of brand: evaluates financial impact of strategic choices and suggests alternatives

Responsible for defining the annual budget and ongoing financial estimates in conjunction with Brand General Managers and the Regional FLT

Responsible for working with Sales Director to accurately estimate sales

Responsible for controlling OPEX and ensuring effective resource allocation

Business Partnering

Responsible for providing commercial support to brand management team

Responsible for driving commercial approach and understanding across the brand

Ensuring that the Business Management Group are perceived as value adding business partners

Finance & Accounting

Strong understanding of accounting processes and principles (industry and company) required, although actual accounting undertaken by a separate team

Responsible for upholding accounting principles and ensuring proper processes are adhered to within the brand teams

Supply Chain and SIOP process

Responsible for supply chain issues for the brand: demand planning and inventory management

Evaluation of New Launch requirements: operational understanding of new launch processes from a supply chain perspective

Responsible for running the SIOP process for the brand

Commercial & Financial Reporting

Responsible for development and delivery of financial and commercial reporting for senior management

Proactively challenge the status quo and use commercial analysis to drive business change

Responsible for leveraging company financial systems to facilitate insightful and efficient reporting (SAP, CPM, BI, Door P&L, Smartview)

Responsible for providing monthly commentary on the business results & the estimate

Commercial Awareness and Capabilities

Work with functional areas of the business to and provide interface with the branded teams on areas such as:


Consumer engagement


External economic awareness and risks

Advertising effectiveness

Industry data understanding and manipulation


Vice President of Finance

Brand GM’s


Brand Management teams

Managing Director


Qualified (ACA etc.) with successful business partnering experience across a large matrix organisation

Agile in approach and with transformation experience

Comfortable in a large corporate company with a high touch service led culture

Excellent stakeholder management ability across all levels

Strength in the communication of financial reporting across these levels

Regular travel between our London & Fareham offices
