Our client is a well known UK manufacturer of household and office based furniture. Due to a continued rise in business they now require 3 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to provide maintenance and servicing support to all machinery whilst rectifying faults.

Working on a double days shift pattern, you will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical machinery breakdowns along with implementing actions from the continious improvement programme.

Essential skills and attributes:

? Ideally apprentice trained with experience of working within a woodworking or machine tool environment

? Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLC faultfinding and modification experience

? Experience of faultfinding Fanuc CNC controls

? Good understanding of motor control – inverters and servos

? Excellent pneumatic and hydraulic skills

? Welding – MIG or Stick

? Be able to react quickly and effectively to production issues, enabling them to be resolved in an accurate and timely manner.

? ‘Right first time’ attitude

These roles are available on either a double day shift working week days 7.30am - 4pm and 4pm -12.30am rotating over a weeks cycle or permanent night shift working Sunday to Thursday 12am – 8am. You will be providing quick fire breakdown response 80% of time with 20% changing shafts, bearings, chains and other planned maintenance tasks.

Due to the nature of the product they manufacture and the machinery used on site, our client are particularly interested in candiates with experience of Homag woodworking machinery. If you are a Service Engineer with experience of Homag, this could be a fantastic transition into a static role – for those candidates with strong experience of these machines rates of pay can be amended to suit requirements.
