Full Time
This is an opportunity for an experienced numerical modeller, with a background in antenna performance, to join an innovative engineering company with a growing order book. If you enjoy taking responsibility for your own projects, and avoiding micro-management, this could be a great fit.

The company provides design and upgrade solutions for antenna performance, radiation issues and signatures (both radar and infrared) for various applications, and they now need to add to their EME / EMC expertise.

Ideal candidates will bring modelling and simulation skills with a thorough understanding of electromagnetic problems and solutions, related to radio-communications, radio-navigation, and frequency bands, from low frequency to microwaves. Knowledge of antenna radiation patterns and associated platforms, radar and NAVCOM systems would be advantageous.

The role will see you learn, and eventually master, some bespoke computational electromagnetic modelling (CEM) software to support design and in-service upgrades, often for military projects, and also offers the opportunity for some international travel.

Individuals from various industries are encouraged to apply, including those who have worked in mobile phone technology, provided you have experience of high frequency bands. Unfortunately only low frequency related products, such as electric motors or transformers, are unlikely to translate successfully.

Applicants must be eligible for SC level security clearance to work on UK protectively marked material. This usually requires a British passport and 5 years UK residency.
