One of our clients are currently seeking to expand their team of fire safety consultants to support their growing practice, situated in the heart of the London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-evolving team and make a difference at a key stage of their development.

- At least two years experience in this role
- IFE Membership
- A degree in Fire Engineering, Building Science or equivalent.
- Experience of working within a fire safety engineering team.


- Produce with guidance fire safety strategy documents to inform and support the chosen building form throughout the design process.
- Identify and with support specify appropriate fixed fire protection systems, i.e. automatic fire detection and/or suppression to support fire engineering design solutions.
- With support, carry out and review fire engineering calculations including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis from simple hand calculations to complex 3D computational modelling.
- Understand and with support apply UK Fire Safety legislation and as necessary provide support in the undertaking of fire safety risk assessments.
- Awareness of, and ability to apply with guidance, UK health and safety design legislation including British Standards.
- Some knowledge of NFPA codes preferred however not essential.
- With guidance, identify design related issues and propose solutions as appropriate.
- An ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills


- Support and contribute to meetings with clients to discuss and understand new project opportunities.
- Awareness of project finance and the commercial impact on the business, and has an understanding of the preparation of fee proposals for new projects.
- Awareness of project scope and opportunities for additional fee.
- An understanding and application with guidance of internal quality assurance processes.
- Understands, supports and contributes to the design process and delivery of projects.
- Demonstrates an awareness of project risk issues and highlights as appropriate.
- Attend conferences, and with support, report and present back on proceedings to the senior team


- Basic Salary £36-42k (depending on experience)
