£14,500 to £17,000 per annum
Mon - Fri (26 hours a week)

This primary school is looking for a committed and experienced teaching assistant to work with a KS2 autistic learner that requires additional support in a mainstream setting. You will be responsible for working 1:1 with this child, as well as in a small group and whole class settings. This school is looking for someone that is dedicated and enthusiastic towards this role and the learner. A successful candidate will need to have previous experience working in a similar role previously.

Supporting with classroom management, also setting up activities, preparing resources, and helping children on an individual basis
Running intervention programmes for small groups or individual children
Working with children with a EHCP or a learning difficulty
Some assessments and evaluations on progress levels of learners.
Managing behaviour in all lessons and around school

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:
Relevant child care experience
Be able to provide a child care reference
Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum
SEN experience (ideally supported autistic children before)
Own transport could be an advantage due to the location
Eligibility to work in the UK
Previous experience working with children with special needs or behaviour issues may be useful
